Ukrainian Forces Launches Large-Scale Manufacturing of Novel Defensive Drones

Ukrainian authorities have declared the commencement of large-scale manufacturing for a new locally engineered interceptor drone to strengthen its aerial protection systems. The first three producers have begun manufacturing, with an additional eleven preparing to establish production lines, Ukrainian military officials announced this past Friday.

'Octopus' Technology Tested in Combat Conditions

These UAVs will be based on a domestically developed technology known as “Octopus” engineered to neutralize Iranian-made drones. This technology has been tested in actual battle and demonstrated effective “during nighttime, amid electronic warfare and flying low,” the ministry confirmed. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has set an ambitious goal of producing up to 1,000 interceptors daily.

The Ukrainian leader is scheduled to travel to the city of Madrid, Madrid, next Tuesday to confer with lawmakers a day after his trip to France, the chamber of deputies disclosed.
