The goalkeeper Was rarely tested to make during the opening 45 until tested by Arbër Hoxha’s bent shot. A sliding tackle against an Albanian attacker highlighted sharp reading of the game. 6/10

John Stones Moved into midfield on the ball, as he has done previously. On occasion was too casual when carrying play and the experiment discontinued at half-time. 6

Dan Burn A nuisance from dead balls, typically, could serve as an alternative to Stones in the backline as opposed to paired with him. A loose ball later in the match nearly resulted in an opener for Albania. 6

The young full-back Another composed display by the youngster following his first cap against Serbia. Saka failed to make full advantage of a gorgeous backheel over the opposing backline. The left-back spot is his to lose at this stage. 7/10

The newcomer His first start with the national team. Slightly careless in possession but his inswinging corners caused problems. An effective game manager available to the coach to utilize against teams who drop deep. Shown a yellow after a reckless foul. Six

The midfielder Crosses on corner kicks and free kicks created chances. Was given freedom to roam down the left flank but was in an offside position when the ball arrived in front of goal. Awarded a well-earned break on the hour mark. 6/10

Jude Bellingham Played in an advanced position on the right and contributed with dirty work. Demonstrated moments of class and scuffed a shot wide. Substituted in the closing stages for Rogers, his rival, following a yellow card. 7

The winger Had the team's best chance in the opening period, his strike smartly stopped from Thomas Strakosha. With Quansah staying deep, it fell to him to stretch the play out wide but his crosses into the box varied in quality. Replaced with 15 to go. Six

Harry Kane The difference-maker netting two more goals in an England shirt. The first a trademark opportunist's goal and the second a superb finish with his head following a clever run away from the opposition. Now 32, he continues to improve and the side stand a real opportunity in future competitions with him leading the line. 8

The attacker Found it tough to influence play on the left flank. Was presented with a good opening when set up from a teammate however Strakosha made the save. His replacement produced a bigger influence when substituted. 5
